Sons and Daughters of the Revolution…
We made it home!!! We know many of you cringed when the idea of 20 some of us barreling down the road in RV’s entered your mind but fear not!!! We’re back here in the city and a 1000 times the wiser thanks to our experiences at Wakarusa. We want to thank them for having us down there and we’ve already began daydreaming about playing down there again next year….good times…For those of you who couldn’t make it down there you can catch up with us this weekend when we play the IAM Festival at 5pm on Saturday, June 13th!! The festival features 25 of the city’sbest bands, and is also acting as a gallery for many of the city’s best up and coming artists so come out and check out the scene!! Tickets are still available for $15 through us so let us know if you’re in need (25 bands and an all day Art show for 15!? Not bad…) and we’ll gladly set you up. In other news you can buy the tracks off our new release, “GORILLA FINGERS” on our MySpace page!!! Hop on and check out the tunes which will also be available thru iTunes and other stores online in the next couple of weeks or so…There are two acoustic shows coming up in the next couple weeks after the IAM FEST, first at SPREAD (2476 N. Lincoln Ave, Chicago, IL 60614 (773) 857-5074) and then up at RED LINE TAP (7006 N. Glenwood Ave, Chicago IL 60626) for our monthly jam session. Both shows are 9pm starts so come out early and grab a brew and get home to bed as it’s a work day and all…and finally PARKER IS TURNING 51!! The band is celebrating by hosting a party at the aforementioned SPREAD on Lincoln from 6 til 9 before a party bus shows up to roll everyone over to REGGIE’S ROCK ROOM (2109 S. State St. Chicago, IL 60616) where the band will be jamming with two of their favorite local bands, BLACKDOG, and ROOT HOG!!! After the show the bus will be bringing everyone back to SPREAD so you won’t have to worry about cars!!! There will be wrist band packages and drink specials at Spread and the show is only 8 bucks including the cost of the bus so get up and out for this one as its gonna be intense!! Yeah we know…we spoil you…but mark it on your Calendar as bus space is limited!! That’s all we got for the moment but keep an ear to the ground…the earth moves with Providence…
And a parting nugget from our fearless leader Sir Winston Churchill…
“I may be drunk miss, but in the morning I’ll be sober and you’ll still be ugly…”
